Infinikey PBT Islander

On March 13, 2020, Nintendo opened a preorder for a special version of the Nintendo Switch game console in anticipation of their upcoming game Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The preorder method of ordering meant that there was a finite amount of units available and any extra units made would only be available on the day of delivery.

Upon day of release, stores were stormed in hopes of acquiring overflow stock, some where not so lucky. As with most everything that is a limited item, many offered their switch online for an inflated price, as much as 150% of the original price of $300. People paid it.

Not me.

Knowing someone who had acquired the switch and also owned an RAL Color Guide I was able to acquire very close color matches. The icons that were made and used in the set where an ode to some of the signature items in the game environment.

This keyset became an opportunity for those who missed out on the switch, or already own one, to acquire the same aesthetic on something that they might use even more than the switch. And for cheaper as well.
